# Price history

> A card's CardLadder value readings over the last 1–365 days, oldest first.

Scope: `read:catalog` · MCP tool: `get_price_history`

Each point is the raw value estimate CardLadder gave for the card on one day, as our daily price sweep recorded it. It isn't the card's `market_value`, which we smooth before using it, so the two won't always match: the latest point can differ from `market_value`.

Since September 24, 2026 there is at most one point a day: cards worth \$500 or more are read every day, and cheaper cards every other day. Before that, cards were read up to twice a day. A card we've never priced (a watch, a luxury goods item, or a card we only just added) returns an empty `points` list, not an error.

**id** `string` *required*

A card id, as in [Get a card](https://catchbackcards.mintlify.site/partner-api/endpoints/get-card.md).

**category** `string`

The card's catalog, if you know it. See [Get a card](https://catchbackcards.mintlify.site/partner-api/endpoints/get-card.md).

**days** `integer` (default: 90)

How many days back from now: a whole number from 1 to 365. Anything else is a `400`.

A history is cached for up to five minutes.

**card\_id** `string`

**category** `string`

The card's catalog.

**days** `integer`

**since** `string`

The start of the window: `days` before now.

**points** `object[]`

Oldest first.

**point**

**recorded\_at** `string`

When the reading was taken.

**estimated\_value** `number`

The estimate in USD.

**source** `string`

Where the reading came from, e.g. `cardladder`.

## Errors

| Status | When |
| - | - |
| `400` | A malformed card id, an unknown `category`, or `days` that isn't a whole number from 1 to 365 |
| `404` | No card has this id |
| `500` | We couldn't read the history. Retry with backoff |
