Create a test account makes a separate CatchBack login with a $10,000 test balance. It needs the create:test_accounts scope, which we grant on request: contact us.
A test account is a login, not a key. Sign in with it on the web or in the app. Your API calls and MCP tools keep acting on your key’s account, so they spend your key’s real balance, even after you’ve made a test account.
To drive a test account through the API, ask us to link a separate key to it. That key then acts on the test account and spends its test balance. Everything below still applies, and we turn that key off when the test account ends.
Pulls are real cards from the live pool. While a test account holds a card, nobody else can pull it. What it still holds goes back to the pool at 10:00 UTC every day, so sell back or finish your test before then.
Don’t judge odds or returns from one. Its results can differ from a real account’s.
Limits: 5 active test accounts per key, 30 days each. A sixth is a 409. To end one early so you can make another, contact us.
The password is shown once. We can’t show it again or reset it, so keep it when you create the account. List test accounts shows the rest.
How it ends: when it reaches its expires_at, or when your key is turned off. It shows as active: false from that date, and its slot frees within about 2 hours, when our job ends it. Then it can’t sign in, and a session already open lasts only until its access token expires.
These are real orders. They spend and credit real CatchCoins, and the card is a real card that someone else could have bought. A card you buy and sell back pays less than you paid: see what a sell-back pays. The Quickstart does the same for packs.
Estimate a shipment charges nothing and stores nothing on our side (the address goes to our carrier services, normally Shippo, to get the rates), so you can try it on a real key with a card in your vault. The account needs a verified phone number. Create a shipment charges your balance and sends a real parcel, so make your first one for a card you mean to ship.
Check your signature code against the test vector, which needs no webhook at all. A small real order on a key with a webhook then sends you a real order.completed.
