Two ways to list a card
Marketplace Listing
Fixed-price buy-now listings. Set a single price and wait for a buyer.
CatchBack Auction
Price starts high and ticks down on a schedule until a buyer locks it in. Fast, gamified, and great for time-sensitive sales.
Marketplace Listings (fixed price)
You set a single price. Buyers click “Buy Now” and the transaction settles immediately. Cards stay listed until they sell or you cancel them. The most predictable option, simplest to manage.CatchBack Auctions (declining price)
You configure a starting price, a reserve (floor) price, a price decrement, and how often the price drops. The displayed price decreases automatically over time, and the first buyer to click “Buy Now” wins at the current price. Prices never fall below your reserve. CatchBack Auctions are best when you want a fast sale, when you’re not sure of the right price, or when you want to create urgency. Buyers see live price updates as the auction ticks down. What it costs to use the marketplace
We charge transparent, flat fees:| Activity | Cost |
|---|---|
| Listing a card (any type) | Free |
| Sale completes | 1 to buyer |
| Unlisting before sale | Free |
| Promoted/featured listings | Not available — we rank competitively-priced listings to the top algorithmically |
How to pay
Buyers can pay using any of the three platform currencies:- USD (credit/debit card or your linked payout method)
- CatchCoins (learn more)
- Store Credit (pre-purchased USD held on-platform)
What makes our marketplace different
Digital-physical bridge
We hold the physical card during the listing period. When a card sells, ownership transfers digitally — no shipping between buyers and sellers for every trade. This is what lets us run on a flat-fee model:- Lower chargeback risk — we control the physical good
- Streamlined payment processing — fewer intermediaries
- Faster dispute resolution — we have direct visibility into both sides
- No per-trade shipping — until you actually want to take possession
Algorithmic visibility, not paid promotion
On most marketplaces, well-priced listings get buried unless sellers pay to promote them. We surface competitively-priced listings to the front pages automatically. This rewards fair pricing instead of advertising spend, and means buyers see the best deals first.Rich card metadata
Every listing carries the full card record: grading info (PSA, BGS, SGC), serial number, set, year, condition, and historical market value. Buyers don’t have to guess what they’re getting. What sellers should know
- Card status changes when you list. Once a card is listed, it can’t be opened for shipping until the listing is sold or cancelled.
- CatchBack Auctions can’t be cancelled once they’ve hit reserve. Auctions that have already ticked down to their reserve price will lock in the next valid buy.
- Failed payouts to a connected account fall back to CatchCoins so you never lose proceeds.
What buyers should know
- Auction prices are live. What you see on a CatchBack Auction is what you’d pay if you click Buy Now right now.
- First click wins. For CatchBack Auctions, the first valid buy locks in the sale at that snapshot price. If someone beats you to it, you’ll see a “listing no longer available” error and your funds won’t be charged.
- Card history travels with the card. When ownership transfers, the full ownership chain and transaction record stays attached to that card record.
